The Animals that live on the Batman Island

Camouflage Horned Lizard

Recently the Batman Island was discovered, a new island could mean new species of animals.  That is exactly what was found on the island.  The new species I’m going to be talking about is the Camouflage Horned Lizard; this lizard is very hard to spot.  Why is it very hard to spot?  Because it’s whole body is covered in different shades of green and it lives on the forest floor, the forest floor is covered with green grass.  The only thing not green on the Camouflaged Horned Lizard is the tip of one of its horns.  The tip of the horn is a dark shade of red.  As the reptile expert I have come to the conclusion that the tip of one of its horns is red because to resemble that of a flower or plant.  The Camouflaged Horned Lizard is an omnivore and loves to eat insects, birds, eggs, and small fruit.  Another interesting find about this new lizard species is that it has a beak like upper lip.  I observed this little lizard when eating an egg it uses its beak to literally make a whole in the egg and like a vampire it sucks everything in the egg out so only an eggshell is left.  It thrives in temperatures of 21ºC – 35ºC and 70ºF – 95ºF.  This little critter is very fast which is a good thing because it can catch up to prey if spotted and run away from predators.  The Camouflage Horned Lizard is small so it can really be hidden from prey when on the forest floor.  The Camouflaged Horned Lizard has a short tail and a medium sized tongue.  In conclusion, this new species of lizard is a very interesting new creature and predators will have a very fun time (sarcasm) trying to find and catch this camouflaged speedy lizard.   

Batman Island Bee Frog

When they found Bat Island they also found very interest animals over there. One interesting animal or mammal they found was the Bat Island Bee frog. When they first saw it, it looked like a bee but the colorations was very different it was a dark green to brownish colored body with brown dots all over its body and it a very small tail behind it. There were many different types of the Bee Frog but the main one was dark green to brownish colored. The environment it thrives in 24ºC - 27ºC (75ºF - 80ºF) and its habitats are the wetlands, pond and, stream. The other colored frogs are like green with green dots and the other one actually looks sort of looks like a bee because its body color is yellow/ green with bright yellow dots. Most of the frogs have webbed feet, 98% has webbed feet 2% doesn’t. Most has hind legs very few do not have. Majority of their tongue length is long. The Bee frog eats small fruit, fungi, small flies, and maggots. Leaps and swims away from predators. Most of them leap 30 centimeter (1 foot).

Batman Island Sandpiper

Recently, on the newly discovered island in the Atlantic ocean, a new type of sandpiper has been found. We asked the scientist Kamalei Berg to share some of his research: This sandpiper seems to be well adapted to the grassy regions near the largest water region. Most of them seem to be small and medium. For a flightless bird the wings still seem quite small for most of the birds. Upon further investigation of these birds we have discovered that most of the birds have mostly blue eyes, with some grey, and the rare pink eye. When I lifted up the birds I discovered that there are many heavy and medium ones. Most of their beaks are long, and being suggested from where they live, they seem to live in the heat range of 24˚C – 27˚C (75˚F – 80˚F). The reptiles on this island eat this animal.

The Parvus Mortem Felis

(small death cat)The Parvus Mortem Felis or better known as the “small death cat” is a carnivorous

mammal that is endemic to Batman Island. This animal thrives on the forest floor where it hunts alone, it will eat its prey in Trees so its prey doesn’t get stolen from another one of its species. Its eating habits are, other mammals, wounded animals, flightless birds, and reptiles. The small death cat has powerful legs so it can jump far, the reason being is because when it hunts it uses ambush attacks. It has long fangs to sink into their prey when they get a hold of their prey with their medium sized claws. The coloration of this animal is a yellow with a hint of brown with black spots on it to blend in with plants. Its max speed is 72.4205 km..
